Lipotripsy is a cellulite treatment ; the most advanced approach to tackle stubborn cellulite and to re-tone the skin. It is a clinically proven method, widely used in the US, to significantly reduce the orange peel appearance and the “marble “ aspect of cellulite. It uses radial waves to help cells flush away unwanted fat naturally through the lymphatic system. Toxins and metabolic waste are then eliminated naturally.
Radial waves also stimulate the production of collagen which tightens the skin, avoids the possible flabby look associated with weight loss and circumference reduction. It rejuvenates the skin giving it a smooth aspect.
It is a non-invasive alternative to liposuccion and skin lifts – involving no surgery and no pain.
Face Lipotripsy uses the same technique with a different probe to reduce wrinkles and fine lines. The treatment stimulates fibroblasts deep within the skin which increases elastin production, and promotes cell renewal. It improves skin density with reduced wrinkle depth and results in a youthful look. The skin feels and looks firmer after the first session.
This scientific method initially used to treat kidney stones (lithotripsy) works by stimulating:
fat break down => and reduce cellulite
collagen synthesis => and retone the skin
lymphatic drainage => and eliminate toxins and metabolic waste
oxygen circulation => and rejuvenate the skin
How it works
Thermoplaques used at the beginning and at the end of the treatment give a precise evaluation of the degree of cellulite.
Lipotripsy is delivered by placing a probe against the areas of cellulite. It emits Radial Waves through the skin making fat cells more permeable. It feels like a vigorous massage. A session lasts about 30 minutes depending on the zone(s) treated

Results
A course of treatment is typically 10 to 12 sessions ; with a 2 per week rhythm for optimal results. Results are not immediately noticeable but improvement in the texture of the skin is usually visible after 2 weeks. The full visual benefit should occur within a month. Improvements continue after the treatment has finished. Booster sessions guarantee long term results.
Exercise and good nutrition will help you maximise results. A highly trained dietician will draw a taylor-made programme for you and advise you on the best guidelines to boost weight loss.
For face lipotripsy, results are visible straight after the first session. For long term results, a course of 6 sessions is recommended but it is a popular option to book a treatment before a special event like party or a glamorous night out !

Pr. Nicola Maffulli
“I was jolly skeptical on shock wave therapy, and that is the reason I started scientific studies on it. After several investigations which we published in high impact scientific journals, we understood that, if we select well the patients, then they get away from my knife! Paradoxically, this means that I do not operate as much, but this makes me happy, as I do not get all the complications associated with surgery (and believe me: there are!).
The great effect of shock wave therapy has now been unleashed on subcutaneous fat: again, from a surgeon’s view point, dealing with patients of normal weight is a real luxury.”
